Introduction

Hello fellow Central Michigan University students, Happy New Year. My name is Michael Perez and I am all the way out in New Jersey living near the Jersey Shore. It's cold out here, not as cold as Michigan LOL, but cold enough. I am presently a Pre-K thru 5th Grade Technology Teacher at Midtown Community Elementary School in Neptune, NJ. I love what I do and wouldn't change it for anything. This is my second year teaching and I have learned so much from year 1 to year 2, especially classroom management. I see over 400 students during the course of the week and having lesson plans for 6 different grades can be a daunting task, I love the challenge and I enjoy working with my students especially when we use Google Docs, Sheets or we are doing Coding (Computer Science). I plan on working in the educational field until I retire but I especially want to make a difference in my school using Technology, that's why my Master's is in Educational Technology. I wish everyone good luck in the course and GOD bless.

  1. Greetings from Mt Pleasant, MI, Michael! Wow -- 400 students in a week?! You got all their names down right?! It shows in what you've written that you love what you do. This course looks interesting and I bet will have some great take-aways for you! Looking forward to the learning with you!

  2. Hi Michael!
Glad to see you again! I split my time between western PA and MI, so I am getting the weather all over the place, although I will say, PA so far in the past 2 years has had a more wintery winter!
